Little Girl Survives 14-Story Fall Down A Manhattan Chimney

Wow, this little 12-year old is one lucky girl. She's obviously meant to do something big with her life, because she should have been killed. Grace Bergere and her cousin climbed to the top of their Manhattan home's rooftop, and Grace accidentally fell into the chimney and fell 14-stories to the bottom. Luckily, the bottom was covered with about two-feet of soot, which cushioned her fall. She escaped with some minor injuries, but she's going to be okay. To read the complete story, go to this page on AOL.

Good luck and make it a great day!

Girl Takes Bullets To Save Her Mom From Attacker

From ABCNews.com - Alexis Goggins is one very lucky and extremely brave little girl. She threw herself in front of her mother's body and took six bullets that were intended for her mother. And, amazingly, even though she was hit in the face, chest and other areas of her little body, she's going to be okay. This little girl definitely has a purpose in this life. To read the entire story of how this heroic little girl saved her mother, and to watch a video of the two of them on Good Morning America, please visit this page on ABCNews.com.

Little League Baseball Game Turned Into Big League Atmosphere Courtesy of Improv Everywhere

Improv Everywhere teamed up with NBC Sports and surprised the players and parents of a random little league baseball game by showing up with a jumbotron, the Goodyear blimp, announcers, fans and mascots, etc. The reactions from the players and parents is great. What a great experience for these players, and a cool idea of a show. Enjoy!

Hero Dog Bitten By Snake And Almost Loses His Life

From Australia's the Herald Sun -- Once again, a dog steps in to save the day. Roary, the Staffordshire bull terrier pictured to the left, stepped in front of his owner's little three-year old who was about to be bitten by a poisonous brown snake.

Roary almost died, but his owner managed to get him to the vet in time to save his life (even stopping to blow air into his nose along the way to the vet).

The pup is doing just fine now, and all is well. To read the entire story of how Roary saved the day, please go to this page on the Herald Sun's website.

Botox Shots Help Young Boy To Walk Again

Looks like Botox isn't just for smoothing out cosmetic problems... It's also helping people walk.

From Telegraph.co.uk - Article Excerpt - A boy crippled by a debilitating illness can walk again, thanks to Botox. The toxin, usually only used for cosmetic purposes, has transformed nine-year-old William Scott's life.

Two years ago, he was diagnosed with Perthes disease, which caused the joint in his hip to soften and break down, leaving him in constant pain and confined to a wheelchair. William, of Great Lumley, Co Durham, got Botox injections to relax his muscles and allow them to recover after surgery at Sunderland Royal Hospital.

To continue reading this article and see pictures of William, please go to this page on Telegraph.co.uk.

Kids Say The Cutest Things

Last Friday, I was at a promotional event with my company at one of the Georgia State Visitors centers. One of the things we do at these events is hand out free popcorn. While handing out free popcorn, a grandmother came up to us with her two grandchildren.

We gave them both boxes of popcorn, and they were thrilled. But, I noticed that the little boy (2 or 3 years old) had a quizzical look on his face. He was looking around behind us and all over the center. I wasn't sure what he was looking for, so I asked him if I could help him find something. Here is what he said in a long slow little kids drawl:

"I want to know...Where I can go...To have my legs stretched."

I looked at him for a second with a puzzled look on my face, and then he clarified the situation for me:

"Because my grandmother said we were stopping here to stretch our legs..."

I died laughing. It was so funny and when his grandmother told him that "stretch our legs" just meant walking around, he had this sad look on his face and he said, "Ahh, I wanted to have my legs stretched so I'd be taller."

Kids really do say the cutest things...

Starbucks - The Way I See It Quote About Dogs

This morning, I picked up a cup of coffee from Starbucks on my way to work, and I read this quote on my coffee cup and thought I'd share it. All of you dog owners out there will really enjoy it, and those of you who have kids and own a dog will probably sympathize with the author:

"Have you noticed that dogs are the new kids? You take a walk with your kid and your dog, but nobody says, 'What a cute kid!' Instead they say, 'What a cute dog! What’s his name? Is he a rescue?' Maybe if I put a collar and leash on my kid someone will notice her." -- Judy Gruen - Humorist and author of The Women’s Daily Irony Supplement.

This quote and others are part of Starbucks The Way I See It Campaign.

Make it a great day!
