Chase Your Passion, Not Your Pension

Today, I'd like to share a quote I gathered from the customer service seminar I went to yesterday. The quote is from Edward James Olmos. If you don't know who he is, he played Lt. Martin Castillo on Miami Vice opposite Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. He was also in a great movie from 1988 titled Stand and Deliver. If you've never seen it, you need to watch it. It's an inspirational film.

Mr. Olmos was giving the commencement address at a college. Here is what he said:

"Please never, ever work for money. Please don't just get a job. A job is something that many of you had while you worked your way through college. A job is something you do for money. But a career is something you do because you're inspired to do it. You want to do it, you love doing it, you're excited when you do it. And you'd do it even if you were paid nothing beyond food and the basics. You'd do it because it's your life."

"Chase your passion, not your pension." - Edward James Olmos.

Whatever you do, Make it a great day!
