The Oprah Debt Diet Part 2

Following up on yesterday's post, here are the four stages for phase two of the Oprah Debt Diet series:
  1. Create a Monthly Spending Plan -- Use the monthly budget worksheet and calculator to create a budget that you can stick to—and save with—every paycheck.
  2. Take big steps to grow your income -- Whether it is selling your assets or getting a second job, sometimes you have to make big choices to get out of debt.
  3. Prioritize your debts and raise your credit score -- Here's a plan to tackle your different kinds of debt while actually improving your credit score!
  4. Understand your spending issues…and save! -- Take this self-assessment quiz and get to the heart of why you spend. Then, find out how to resist temptation and build an emergency fund.

    Thanks for putting the Debt Diet on your web site. There is a ton of good advice in this article. I shared it with several of my co-workers who are also paying for their spending sins of the past!
