Weimaraner Rescue of the South

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are having an enjoyable holiday season. The new year is almost here, and what better way to prepare for the new year than getting into the spirit and habit of giving. A good friend of mine is a volunteer for Weimaraner Rescue of the South.

Here is how the organization describes itself: "Weimaraner Rescue of the South takes in dogs who are in need of a new home for many reasons. Most dogs come to us from shelters where the family pet was surrendered. Their families simply were not willing or able to commit the time needed to train and care for a Weim properly.

Other dogs have been abandoned, starved, injured, or abused and ended up in our hands because the dog was picked up by authorities for animal cruelty, or found running loose along a busy road."

They have a very moving and inspirational video on the homepage of their site located at www.weimrescue.com. If you do nothing else today, I want you to visit their homepage and watch this video. If it doesn't affect you, you aren't human. These dogs need our help and support, and Weimaraner Rescue of the South is doing it. If you live in Alabama or Mississippi or parts of Georgia, Tennessee or Louisiana and would like to volunteer with them, please visit this page on their site. If you don't live in one of these states or if you want to donate to their awesome cause, you can online on this page on their website.

If everyone will contribute a little, we'll all contribute a lot. God bless you and have a wonderful day!
