Alexander Signs $62 Million, Eight-Year Contract to Remain With Seahawks

As you know from an earlier post I made in January, I am a big fan of Shaun Alexander. Not just because of this talent, but because I went to the University of Alabama, and he is a great human being in addition to a great football player. If anyone deserves a contract like this, Shaun does.

Here is an excerpt from the article:

"Last month, Shaun Alexander said he didn't need to wait for free agency and multiple offers from eager suitors to know what price is right for the league's MVP.

"Fair is fair," Alexander said. "I know what fair is. Other teams don't decide what fair is. I think the Seahawks definitely know." They do now. Fair is apparently $62 million over eight years -- the deal Alexander and the Seahawks agreed to Sunday night, keeping the NFL rushing champion in Seattle. "
