My Dog Taught Me How To Be Happy

From Canada.com -- I read a story today that really made me stop and think. The title of the story is "My Dog Taught Me How To Be Happy." It can be read in it's entirety on this page on Canada.com.

The story reminds us to stop and smell the roses. Slow down and appreciate the fact you are alive and healthy. The story talks about how a man realized how precious life was by watching his dog's reaction to his wife everytime she came in the door. The dog's tail almost fell off everytime she or he came in the door.

This reminds me of our own dog, Biscuit. It doesn't matter whether we have been gone for 3 days or 30 minutes, the greeting is the same. Tail is wagging furiously, and she is so excited we came back through the door. Shouldn't we be just as excited when our husband or wife or children come walking through the door. None of us are guaranteed we'll make it through the day. Enjoy life and get excited when your husband or wife comes home. Dogs do it. Why not us as well?

Good luck and make it a great day!
