Rescued Dog Rescues Another Dog

This is a pretty cool story. Back in March, a black lab was stranded on a mountain pass, and at first, he wouldn't allow anyone to put a leash on him to bring him down. Finally, a Humane Society animal officer and others were able to coax him down the mountain. They named him Blewett, which was the name of the mountain pass where he'd been stranded. He quickly found a new home and it didn't take long before he went from the victim to the hero.

Blewett and his new family were taking a walk on some trails when he started barking at something down below on the ground. The family realized it was another black lab, and they went to get help. Blewett ran straight down the slope and cuddled up next to the other dog and kept it warm until help arrived. Pretty cool story, huh? Dogs... You've gotta love 'em.

Little Girl Survives 14-Story Fall Down A Manhattan Chimney

Wow, this little 12-year old is one lucky girl. She's obviously meant to do something big with her life, because she should have been killed. Grace Bergere and her cousin climbed to the top of their Manhattan home's rooftop, and Grace accidentally fell into the chimney and fell 14-stories to the bottom. Luckily, the bottom was covered with about two-feet of soot, which cushioned her fall. She escaped with some minor injuries, but she's going to be okay. Husband Saves Wife From Crocodile By Poking It In The Eyes

From BBC News - An Australian man and his wife were visiting the Litchfield National Park near Darwin in Australia's Northern Territory when a crocodile lunged out of the water and grabbed his wife by the legs.

Instinctively, the man jumped into the water and like the Crocodile Hunter himself, he jumped on the back of the croc and started wrestling with it. While on the croc's back, he managed to poke it in both eyes, and that's when he believes it let go of his wife.

I thought I'd take a look at one of the most memorable moments in the history of the tournament this week. Today's video is from the 2005 tournament. It's Tiger Woods' 2nd shot on the par 3 16th hole, and it's one of the most unbelievable chips you'll ever see. Three days after their wedding, Anna Koslov kissed her husband Boris goodbye. A soldier in Russia's Red Army, he was set to rejoin his military unit. The young couple expected that they would be together again soon, ready to begin the joys of married life, and to raise a family together.

Dog and Cat Honored For Saving Masters' Lives

This is a great story...

First, Toby, a 2 1/2 year old Golden Retriever who was rescued from a garbage bin as a puppy saved his masters' life. From Yahoo.com -- "When Debbie Parkhurst choked on a piece of apple at her Maryland home, her dog jumped in, landing hard on her chest and forcing the morsel to pop out of her throat. "...Parkhurst suggested her pooch's Heimlich maneuver might have been guided by divine intervention.

"That's what our veterinarian said," she said. "He wasn't making a joke; he's very spiritual, and now I have to agree with him."

Second, Winnie the cat, saved her family by waking them up when their house was being poisoned by carbon monoxide. "...a gas-driven pump being used to remove flood waters from their basement in New Castle, Ind., last March malfunctioned, spreading carbon monoxide through the house. By the time Winnie moved into rescue mode, the couple's 14-year-old son, Michael, was already unconscious.

"Winnie jumped on the bed and was clawing at me, with a kind of angry meow," Cathy Keesling said. "When I woke up I felt like a T-bar had hit me across the head."

State police and sheriff's officers responding to her 911 call said the family was only minutes from death, judging by the amount of poisonous gas in the house."

Phone Salesman Paul Potts Amazes The Judges and The Crowd On Britain's Got Talent

Earlier this summer, an unknown phone salesman named Paul Potts stepped up on stage in front of Simon Cowell and two other judges on the British reality show, Britain's Got Talent, and he completely blew everyone's mind with his performance. I love the look on the judges faces when he first walks up and tells them he is going to sing opera. Their facial transformations during his performance is priceless. Paul would go on to win the competition.

You may remember this little girl's performance from the same competition. She was one of the finalists, and her performance was equally impressive. His performance should teach us all that everyone has a talent, and we should never judge a "book by it's cover." Enjoy!

Americans Are The Most Giving People On The Planet

This doesn't come as a surprise to me. As you know, I believe that many more positive things happen every day than negative things. And, Americans overwhelmingly give more money to charity than anyone else in the world. According to this USA Today article, Americans gave almost $300 Billion dollars to charity last year, and almost 3/4 of that came from individual donors. This proves my point. Americans want to live positive lives and they want to help others live positive lives.
