A Remarkable Love Story

I just read a story on Gimundo.com that's perfect for Valentine's Day.

Three days after their wedding, Anna Koslov kissed her husband Boris goodbye. A soldier in Russia's Red Army, he was set to rejoin his military unit. The young couple expected that they would be together again soon, ready to begin the joys of married life, and to raise a family together.

But when Boris returned home from his military expedition, he found the house cold and empty. When he called his wife's name, there was only the echo of his own voice. Anna was gone.

Dogs Give Up Their Lives To Save Their Family

For those of us who are dog owners, this is both a sad and inspirational story. Bella and Maddie, two Golden Retrievers, alerted their family about a fire in their house. Because of the dogs warning the family was able to get out of the house, but the dogs didn't make it because they stayed in the house because they thought a family member was still in the house. That, my friends, is why dogs are more than just pets. They're members of the family.

It's official... You're refund check will be mailed out this summer. If you're single and make less than $75,000 a year, you'll get $600. If you're married and your combined income is less than $150,000, you'll get $1,200 and $300 extra for each child. Tiger Woods - Hole In One - 1997 Phoenix Open

I wanted to post this today since the FBR Open in Phoenix is going on right now. Tiger's not playing in the tournament this year, but this video is incredible. It's a brief video, and I'll try to find a longer one showing the pandemonium that occured after he hit the shot, but this video does give you a little taste of it. I remember watching this on TV, and it was incredible.

If you're not familiar with the FBR (Phoenix) Open, it's the loudest and most-attended tournament of the year, and the 16th hole is a par 3 hole that is completely surrounded by bleachers, corporate tents and alcohol-drenched fans. It's unbelievable how loud it gets towards the end of the day on Saturday and Sunday. Enjoy the video!
